Students from an Advanced Placement Government class at Lake Washington High School spent March 28 in Olympia watching Governor Jay Inslee sign a bill they introduced to the Washington State Legislature. The bill is HB2301, which promotes composting and reducing food waste.
Lake Washington High School students Petar Damjanovic, Reilly Jones, Joanna Lymberis, Sophia Lymberis, Theodore Meek, Olivia Milstein and Kassie Montgomery, and their teachers, Bethany Shoda and Michael Dawson, had the honor of attending the signing ceremony for bill SB 5804 with Governor Jay Inslee.
