TYPES OF TRANSCRIPTS

There are two types of high school transcripts: official and unofficial.

Official transcripts are signed and sealed in an envelope or digitally sent directly to the college by LWHS.
Unofficial transcripts are printed, emailed, uploaded to the college by the student.
Final Official transcripts are digitally sent to the college after final grades are posted by LWHS.

NOTE: FOR COMMON APP, TRANSCRIPTS WILL BE SENT BY YOUR COUNSELOR THROUGH COMMON APP ITSELF. YOU DO NOT NEED TO PLACE A SEPARATE REQUEST.

If you are a class of 2025 student needing your official transcript, please complete your Xello. Please see the instructions under "Final Official - Class of 2025" section on this page. If you've confirmed with your future post-secondary school that they cannot access transcripts sent through Xello, please continue to the next paragraph below.

Unofficial – Current Students

Transcripts are updated a few weeks after each semester and can be found in Skyward under “Portfolio”, titled “Unofficial Transcript.

FINAL OFFICIAL - CLASS OF 2025

Please follow the instructions on requesting a final official transcript in Xello so you can have your final official transcript sent to your college, university, or NCAA. Deadline to submit is June 4, 2025

Removing Credit Taken Before High School

If you are current LWHS freshman, sophomore or junior and want to request to remove credit or a grade taken before high school, complete this form and return it to your LWHS Counselor before the end of your junior year.

UW COLLEGE IN THE HIGH SCHOOL

Seniors! Are you taking or have you taken a UW in the High School class here at LWHS? If so, you will need to order a transcript directly from UW after you have completed the class, and have it sent to the college that you’re attending in the fall.

Change of Address

To update your students address please submit a new Residency Verification Form (Spanish) with the requested documents.

Residency Verification Checklist

To verify residency, you must provide two of the items listed below; each bullet counts as one item.
All addresses on the documents must include the parent/guardian’s name and match the address of your residence.

Government Mail
- Examples include: car registration; Good to Go! bill or letter; letter from Social Security, immigration, unemployment, DMV; USPS Change of Address form; election ballot.
- Correspondence from Lake Washington School District does not qualify as government correspondence.
Mortgage Statement or Homeowner’s Insurance Policy Declaration or Property Tax Statement.
Unexpired Lease/Rental Agreement. Must be signed by both parties and include the contact information for the lessor/landlord.
Utility Bill dated within the last 2 months.
- Accepted utilities include water, sewer, gas, electricity, or garbage; the mailing and service address must be the residence address.
- Cable, internet and phone bills are not accepted.

If you are part of the Washington State Address Confidentiality Program, an official letter from the Address Confidentiality Program stating the attendance area school fulfills the requirement to establish residency in the Lake Washington School District. You must submit a renewed letter to the school each school year.
Additional Verification of guardianship and/or residency may be required.

Transfer Records

Other schools or school districts in which the student intends to enroll shall be provided with a transcript of the contents of the student's standard records upon receipt of an official request from the school district. RCW 28A.225.330

Diplomas

If you are a recent graduate and have not yet picked up your diploma please contact the registrar at LWHSRegistrar@LWSD.org to make arrangements.

Diplomas are a one-time ceremonial item and cannot be reordered.

We do not have copies of diplomas. If verification of graduation from Lake Washington High School is required a transcript can be requested using the form above.
