Christine Bell - Principal (Students with Last Name: Le-Re)

My name is Christine Bell and I became the LWHS Principal in 2021. Prior to LWHS, I worked as an administrator in both the Marysville and Arlington School Districts. I also served as a Dean of Students at Mount Vernon High School. I am so excited to be your new principal at LW!

I have been an educator since 2007. When I was in the classroom I taught history and English, as well as leadership. My BA and MA come from Western Washington University (Go Vikings!) and I am still a student at WWU, pursuing an Ed.D. As you get to know me you will see that I am passionate about working to ensure equitable access and outcomes for all students.

Currently I live in Marysville with my husband and two sons, Matthew and Noah. I spend time reading, baking, and walking my dog. I also love to hike and travel with my family. 

I am so honored to have the opportunity to get to know the staff and students at Lake Washington High School. You will see me around campus this year rooting for the Kangs in every setting--and when you do, please stop by and say hello.

Aric Kooima - Associate Principal (Students with Last Name: Fe-La)

I am thrilled to be part of the Kang Family!  I started my administrative journey as the assistant principal at Harrisburg North Middle School, in Harrisburg, South Dakota.  From Harrisburg, I found my way to the Pacific Northwest at Kent School District, working as an administrator at both the elementary and high school levels.  My deep passion for inclusion and equity drives my work each day. 

To seek balance in life, I enjoy travel, music, and spending quality time with my family, friends, and pup.  My favorite travel locations are always my most recent destinations, music speaks to my heart, and my family and friends renew me and keep me grounded. 

Education is truly a heart profession.  I am grateful to lead forward along with you in supporting our students’ journeys as they embrace their individual paths to success.  It takes a village to support our students and I am grateful to be part of yours.

Melissa Super-Greene - Associate Principal (Students with Last Name: A-Fa)

Hello Kang Community!  I am honored and excited to be serving our families and students.  I have been in education for many years as a track coach, teacher, instructional coach, parent and administrator.  I began my education career in Colorado until I heard the calling of the Pacific Northwest, continuing on the peninsula and now with Lake Washington.  My love of community and students drives me every day to show up and be my best.

When I am not serving my school community, I am hanging out with my husband, Eric and shepherding our three kids through young adulthood.  We are both excited to be a part of the Kang community!

Tim Shultz- Associate Principal (Students with Last Name: Rh-Z)

Greetings Kangs! I am excited to be here at LW! I grew up in Woodinville, WA and have been in education for 20 years. I was a teacher for 15 and have been in administration ever since. I earned my BA in History from Western Washington University, where I played football and then earned my Master in Teaching and my Administrative Certificate from Seattle University. I earned my National Board Certification in Social Studies in 2015. As a former coach and athlete, I love working with our athletic teams to build a positive culture for our school. I also love working with all out students to ensure their success in school and have a positive school experience.

My wife, Allison, is also an administer and I have three children, Hailey (WSU Grad—Go Cougs!), Cole and Ian (both college age). When not at Lake Washington, I am watching my boys, Cole and Ian participate in sporting events like swimming and water polo—their favorite sports.

I am very excited to be at Lake Washington High School supporting students and staff.  I have enjoyed 30 years as a Junior High/Middle School teacher and principal, and am really looking forward to working at the high school.  

My wife, Stephanie, and I have three young adults that were all UW Huskies like their parents!  Go Dawgs & Kangs!
