The LWSD Technology Operations department is now providing Family Technology Access support 24/7.
Email Addresses:
The student Microsoft username is the 7-digit student number and students will log onto district laptops using this username. Email addresses are: (7digitstudentnumber@lwsd.org).
Skyward FAQs
Skyward Family Access is https://www.q.wa-k12.net/lkwashSTS. This link is also available on the district website. Family Access usernames and passwords are not changing.
Some common questions and answers about this transition are below:
Will I need to update my bookmark on my browser for the new Skyward?
Yes. The web address is different so any browser bookmarks will need to be updated.
How does this affect usernames and passwords?
Family Access usernames and passwords have not changed. Student Access usernames will now be the 7-digit Student Number that is the start of the student email address. Student Access passwords do not change. There will be a link on the login screen for those that forgot their username and/or password.
Do I need to re-enter contact information into the new version of Skyward?
No. All student, family and emergency contact information have migrated to our new version. Families can update phone numbers, emails and contact information through the new Family Access.
Will I have the same access to grades, report cards and test scores in the new version?
Yes. However, some of the attachments in Portfolio will take a few weeks to get moved into the new version.
